Summary
Backend developer designing, building, and maintaining Python applications with GraphQL and REST APIs/microservices, optimizing database models, integrating third-party and cloud services, and working in Agile sprints. Hybrid role in Mandaluyong with a night shift (8 pm-6 am) and two onsite days per week.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python.
- Build and manage GraphQL APIs and schema definitions.
- Implement GraphQL resolvers, queries, mutations, and subscriptions.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Design and optimize database structures, queries, and data models.
- Integrate applications with third-party services, enterprise systems, and cloud platforms.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, and application troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, architects, and QA teams.
- Participate in Agile development activities and sprint ceremonies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Required experience: 5 to 7 years of professional software development experience, including Python and hands-on GraphQL development.
- Must have 5+ years of Python experience
- Must have 4+ years of GraphQL experience
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and API design principles.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Shift Schedule: 8 pm-6 am
Work setup: 2x a week onsite (Wednesday & Friday)
