Python Full Stack Developer
Summary
Build and lead full-stack Python applications using Flask/Django, Vue.js, and SQL Server, while optimizing AWS infrastructure and mentoring junior developers.

Requirements:- Strong experience in Core Python and web frameworks such as Flask and Django
- Strong front-end development skills with Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive development projects and mentor junior developers
- Experience with SQL Server database development, optimisation, data analysis, and efficient data storage and retrieval
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, serverless architectures, and Docker containers
- Experience with event-driven programming paradigms and design patterns such as MVT and MVC
- Experience with Agile methods, ORMs, server-side templating languages, unit/API testing, and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including exception handling, data structures, and object-oriented programming
- Security Clearance (SC) is strongly desirable
- Lead the design and development of complex applications using Core Python and frameworks such as Flask and Django
- Develop front-end interfaces using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Mentor junior developers in coding standards, GitHub version control, and code tracking
- Oversee the integration of software components and troubleshoot/debug applications
- Apply best practice in software development across the full stack
- Work with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and related cloud-native technologies as part of the technical environment

We are a leading global IT transformation business specialising in large-scale Government projects. This is a 6-month contract for a Python Full Stack Developer based in Leeds with hybrid working, mainly remote and occasional travel to our Leeds or London office as required. The role is inside IR35 and is ideally set to start as soon as possible, with August 2026 mentioned as the target start timeframe.
