Python/Linux Developer

Role Overview
We are seeking a Backend & Systems Engineer with strong Python and Linux expertise to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain core backend services, automation pipelines, and infrastructure integrations. You will work directly with complex technical workflows, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across our Linux-based ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Write, test, and maintain clean, high-performance, and scalable Python code for core backend applications and microservices.
- Linux Systems Engineering: Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot services operating within our enterprise Linux environment.
- Automation & Scripting: Build robust automation scripts using Python and Bash to streamline deployment pipelines, system management, and operational workflows.
- Performance & Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to diagnose performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and implement structural system improvements.
- API & Data Services: Design and deploy resilient APIs and backend integrations connected with relational databases.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain clear, concise documentation for service architectures, API endpoints, and deployment procedures.
Key Qualifications
Core Requirements- Python Engineering: 3+ years of professional backend software development experience using Python.
- Linux Administration: Strong hands-on proficiency with Linux systems, core shell utilities, process management, and system administration.
- Database & SQL: Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and writing optimized SQL queries.
- Version Control: Experience using Git for collaborative code reviews and version control workflows.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to debug complex system issues with a direct, analytical engineering mindset.
- Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container runtime environments.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with automated build/deployment tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
- Infrastructure Automation: Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Networking & Security: Basic understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security fundamentals.
