About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Python / Rust Developer to join a project focused on building a high-performance trading integration platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a unified interface for Fast Trading systems, ensuring low latency, high throughput, and secure communication across multiple trading platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to work on performance-critical backend systems using Python, Rust, Kafka, Azure, Kubernetes, and modern distributed architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a unified interface for Fast Trading platforms, including VATP and other trading tools.
• Develop scalable backend services using Python and Rust.
• Build a consolidated integration layer to simplify communication between multiple trading systems.
• Analyze existing interfaces and identify performance, stability, and security bottlenecks.
• Design standardized APIs to improve interoperability across systems.
• Optimize applications for low latency and high throughput in high-performance trading environments.
• Validate system performance, resilience, and cross-platform integration.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and operational risk requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Python and Rust backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience working in Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Proven experience building low-latency, high-performance distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Understanding of system reliability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with financial services or electronic trading platforms.
• Familiarity with market connectivity or trading system integrations.
• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing reusable integration frameworks.
