Python Software Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
• Build and optimize backend components, scripts, APIs, and data-processing workflows.
• Apply OOP principles and software development best practices.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and database operations.
• Work with MySQL and/or MongoDB, depending on project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, and ensure code quality.
• Support banking and financial services applications related to risk, regulatory reporting, trading, collateral, or capital markets.

Preferred candidate profile

• 512 years of IT experience with strong hands-on Python development.
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of OOP concepts and design principles.
• Solid SQL and database knowledge, preferably MySQL.
• MongoDB experience is preferred for the Python Developer + MongoDB position.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with application development, database optimization, and production support.
