We’re seeking an experienced Python Software Engineer to join a global product development team focused on cybercrime and abuse prevention. This is an opportunity to work alongside security researchers and data scientists in a fast‑moving environment where your work will make a real impact.

Global product development group with a focus on cybercrime and abuse prevention.

Includes security researchers, data scientists, and engineers.

Entire team currently works remotely worldwide.

Customer-focused, operating globally (flexibility required for urgent issues, but no need to work US hours).

High-energy, fast-moving culture – thrives on shipping code quickly and handling pressure.

Collaborates closely with law enforcement – integrity and professionalism are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications and frameworks using Python.
  • Work with large-scale, high-volume data environments.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including researchers, data scientists, and engineers.
  • Ship production-ready code quickly while maintaining high quality.
  • Contribute to architecture design and technical decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in real time.
  • Champion continuous improvement and best practices within the team.

Candidate Profile

  • 5–9 years’ experience as a Software Engineer (exceptional candidates with 2+ years considered).
  • Strong professional expertise in Python (primary language).
  • Proven track record in building scalable systems, APIs, and microservices.
  • Experience in frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • High levels of commitment, integrity, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, fraud detection, or abuse prevention systems.
