We are looking for a Python Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Design, build, test and maintain Python services and applications
- Develop APIs, integrations, background jobs and data flows
- Build customer-facing journeys and internal tools
- Work with SQL, NoSQL and data modelling
- Develop and maintain web applications
- Work with HTML and JavaScript
- Explore and develop with HTMX
- Improve code quality, observability, reliability and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Troubleshoot incidents and production issues
- Simplify systems and reduce unnecessary complexity
- Work with product, design, architecture, operations and security teams
- Work with both on-site and offshore team members
- Contribute to microservices, event-driven and distributed systems
- Apply AI and GenAI capabilities where relevant
For Senior / Staff Engineers
- Shape technical direction and architecture
- Make architecture and technology decisions
- Mentor and coach other engineers
- Improve engineering standards across teams
- Drive improvements in quality, delivery and ownership
- Contribute to AWS cloud architecture and platform decisions
- Balance speed, simplicity, risk and maintainability
What You Bring
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience building web applications, APIs or backend services
- Understanding of SQL, NoSQL and data modelling
- Experience with testing and version control
- Good understanding of web application fundamentals
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
- Familiarity with server-rendered web applications
- Interest or experience in HTMX
- Ability to reason about technical design and trade-offs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and improve
- Experience working in agile, collaborative engineering teams
- Fluent English, written and spoken
