About the Program:
This role is part of Project Mahathi, a pioneering initiative by Climate Collective Foundation and Mahathi Degree College. The program offers a first-of-its-kind AI & Data for Climate 4th Year Honours Degree, designed to equip students from low-income, Tier 2 backgrounds with cutting-edge skills in climate technology, data science, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured Python training sessions for undergraduate students
- Guide and support students during lab hours with hands-on practice and exercises
- Teach Python fundamentals including:
Data structures, functions, loops, file handling
Data analysis using NumPy, Pandas
Data visualization using Matplotlib and Seaborn - Troubleshoot coding errors and support collaborative learning
- Track student progress and share regular feedback with the program team
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science
Experience & Skills
- 2–4 years of teaching/training experience in Python, ideally in data or applied domains
- Strong proficiency in:
Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
Git, Jupyter Notebooks, and Anaconda - Exposure to climate/environmental data, geospatial libraries, or satellite data is a bonus
- Ability to explain complex concepts to students with limited technical backgrounds
