QA Analyst (m/f/n)

Summary

QA Analyst designs and executes test plans for a EU organization, focusing on API and E2E automation with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Postman, while ensuring data integrity and traceability.

Currently, for one of our Partners, we are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to support a long‑term project for a European Union organization.

Requirements:

• Master's degree required

English proficiency at a minimum B2 level. A language certificate is required. Candidates who do not hold a valid certificate will be required to successfully pass a language audit/assessment prior to onboarding

• Relevant experience: at least 7 years

• E2E testing with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright: at least 3 years

Test design: at least 6 years

• API automation with Postman and REST-Assured: at least 4 years

• Automation strategy definition: at least 3 years

• Once-Only principle supporting information systems: at least 3 years

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level

Experience defining the automation strategy of a project: what to automate, at which layer (unit, integration and e2e testing layers), with which tools – at least 3 years

• At least 3 years of experience with the Once-Only principle supporting information systems, including implementation at any level of public administration.

Tasks:

• Acceptance criteria analysis & test design

• Test API contracts (request/response schemas, HTTP status codes, error handling)

• Validate data integrity across service calls and database transactions

• Use stubs, mocks, and service virtualisation to isolate dependencies

• Design and manage test data: seeding, cleanup, and environment isolation

• Write clear test plans covering objectives, scope, resources, and schedule

• Prioritise test coverage based on business risk and change impact

• Balance automated regression coverage with targeted exploratory testing

• Identify ambiguous or missing AC and raise them with the BA or PO before testing begins

• Map each AC condition to at least one positive and one negative test case

• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects

• Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test conditions and create comprehensive test cases with clear acceptance criteria

• Verify that completed software features meet specified requirements and are fit for purpose through systematic manual testing

• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects, ensuring clear communication throughout the bug lifecycle

• Define automation strategy of the project

Offer:

Work set-up: Mostly far-site. Services must be performed from within the EU. Occasional travelling to Brussels may be required. For far-site delivery, the contracting authority may request on-site presence in Brussels with 7 days’ notice. Planned meetings are at the contractor’s cost.

• Rate: 420-530 EUR/MD net+VAT
