Designs and implements end-to-end QA strategies and automation frameworks for AI-powered staffing and services software, using tools like Playwright, Selenium, and Azure DevOps.
🟣 About the project:
Industry leading provider of software and AI solutions for the temporary staffing, cleaning services and personal security industries.
🟣 You will be:
designing end-to-end test strategies for new projects, covering the overall testing approach, including automation, manual, functional, non-functional, and all testing levels,
selecting the most suitable automation tools for each project, creating proof of concepts (PoCs), and presenting the advantages and disadvantages of different solutions,
setting up test automation frameworks, implementing testing processes, developing automated tests, leading QA activities, and preparing test estimations,
conducting QA reviews for existing projects by analyzing testing processes, automation frameworks, and overall QA maturity, preparing reports, presenting findings to project teams, and recommending improvements,
working across multiple projects, with typical engagements lasting between 2 and 6 months, often supporting several initiatives simultaneously rather than being dedicated full-time to a single project,

managing time effectively during periods between project assignments by focusing on value-adding internal initiatives, including:
mentoring other QA engineers,
researching new technologies and QA solutions, creating proof of concepts (PoCs), and sharing findings with the organization,
collaborating with QA Engineers and Architects across Xebia teams in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and India,
identifying and driving initiatives to improve QA practices across the company,
supporting QA engineers working on different customer projects,
contributing to presales activities by providing QA expertise, preparing estimations, representing the QA discipline in customer meetings, and gathering and analyzing customer quality assurance needs and challenges,
using AI-powered engineering assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, software quality, and decision-making throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
🟣 Your profile:
at least 10 years of experience in QA, including 3+ years in a similar role,
hands-on experience building frontend test automation frameworks from scratch (e.g. Playwright, Selenium),
hands-on experience building backend test automation frameworks from scratch (e.g. RestSharp),
experience designing and configuring CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab,
familiarity with consumer-driven contract testing and tools such as Pact,
experience working with cloud platforms, preferably both AWS and Azure,
solid knowledge of Git, including the ability to define and recommend an effective branching strategy,
proficiency in C# with a willingness to learn additional programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Java,
experience creating proof of concepts (PoCs) for test frameworks and automation solutions, evaluating different approaches, and presenting recommendations to customers,
ability to design project test strategies and customer test policies,
experience conducting QA project reviews and driving process improvements,
experience preparing testing estimates for end-to-end project delivery,
experience mentoring and supporting other QA team members,
good understanding of software architecture patterns and their impact on testing strategies,
experience designing and executing testing activities in Agile environments,
comfortable working in an AI-native engineering environment using Specification-Driven Development (SDD) frameworks, such as OpenSpec, to structure requirements, implementation plans, validation, and traceability,
excellent organizational and time management skills,
willingness to travel when required,
English proficiency at C1 level or higher,
German language skills are considered a strong advantage,
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
