QA - Automation Developer (Playwright) and Performance Tester (JMeter)

About the role

CGI is seeking a Mid/Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in building Playwright E2E frameworks from scratch and executing performance tests using Apache JMeter.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale E2E test frameworks using Playwright and execute performance scenarios via Apache JMeter

• Manage test cycles, analyze user stories, evaluate technical feasibility, and track system defects

• Analyze load behavior and metrics to identify infrastructure bottlenecks

About you

• 4 to 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on Test Automation (Mid to Senior level)

• Proven, hands-on experience building out E2E testing frameworks using Playwright

• Deep understanding of modern locators, auto waiting, async/await patterns, and the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern

• Extensive experience creating sophisticated JMeter scripts

• Highly skilled in parameterization, assertions, distributed testing, and correlating dynamic values

• Strong coding proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python and Shell Scripting
