The QA Automation Lead will manage quality assurance and DevSecOps for Salesforce Commerce Cloud platforms, focusing on test automation, manual testing, and security integration. The role involves leading a team to ensure high-quality e-commerce solutions through CI/CD pipeline optimization and performance testing.
We are seeking a quality-focused engineer to own test automation for our complex B2B Commerce ecosystem. This role combines hands-on Playwright test development with strategic quality assurance, ensuring that commerce workflows (catalog, pricing, checkout, account hierarchies) perform flawlessly across browsers and APIs.
- Test Automation Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable test suites using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) for end-to-end, integration, and regression testing of the B2B Commerce platform.
- Commerce Workflow Validation: Automate critical business flows including complex pricing engines, promotions, bulk ordering, buyer group permissions, and multi-step checkout processes.
- CI/CD Integration: Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and rapid release cycles.
- Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with BAs, developers, and product owners to review requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure test coverage aligns with business risk and priority.
- Defect Management: Log, track, and triage defects; work closely with developers to resolve issues and validate fixes in a timely manner.
- Performance & Reliability: Contribute to load/performance testing strategies where applicable, ensuring the platform scales for enterprise B2B traffic.
- Experience: 4+ years in test automation, with 2+ years hands-on with Playwright (or strong Cypress/Selenium experience with a clear transition to Playwright).
- Commerce Domain: Proven experience testing B2B e-commerce platforms (Salesforce B2B Commerce, SAP Hybris, Magento, or similar) – understanding of catalog structures, pricing tiers, tax calculations, and order management is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript; experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL), SQL for data validation, and version control (Git).
- CI/CD & Tools: Familiarity with Docker, cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs), and test reporting tools (Allure, Playwright Test Reporter).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent defect documentation, and the ability to work independently in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Nice-to-Have: - Experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce or Commerce Cloud.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (k6, JMeter).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
