QA & Automation Engineer (ENOS)
Summary
Owns end-to-end quality for ENOS, Enstack's payments product, in Taguig City: maintaining and extending an automated test suite (~99% coverage) across e2e/integration/regression, gating releases, and testing money-critical paths like ledger reconciliation, idempotency, webhooks, and partner sandbox integrations, using AI tools responsibly in the test workflow.
The role
You will own quality at ENOS end to end. We already have an automated test suite covering ~99% of our test cases; your job is to take full ownership of it, keep it green, and make sure coverage grows with every new feature instead of decaying behind it. You are the last check before a feature goes live, and you have a real say in whether it does.
This is not a ticket-closing QA role. We want someone who thinks like a product person: who notices the edge case nobody wrote down, has an opinion on how it should behave, and argues for it.
What You'll Own
The automated test suite (end-to-end, integration, regression): maintenance, reliability, CI integration, and extending it for every new feature before it ships
Test strategy and coverage standards across the stack, including setting the bar for unit test coverage that engineers are held to
Release gating: the final go/no-go on turning features on, with a documented sign-off process
Payments-specific testing: ledger and balance reconciliation, idempotency and retry behavior, transaction state transitions, webhook/callback handling, failure and timeout paths
Partner integration testing against sandbox and production environments (custody, on/off-ramp, PHP payout) and the differences between them
Bug triage and reproduction: severity classification, clear repro steps, and pushing fixes to closure
UAT with product: translating PRDs and designs into test cases and catching gaps in the spec before engineering does
Our use of AI in the test workflow: using AI tools to generate, extend, and maintain tests responsibly, with the judgment to know what to trust and what to verify
What We're Looking For
4+ years in QA with at least 2 years owning test automation in a production product
Hands-on with a modern automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, or similar) and API testing (Postman, REST clients, or code)
Comfortable in CI/CD pipelines and reading application code and logs to diagnose failures, not just report them
Fluent with AI coding and testing tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) and grounded in AI safety and best practices: you know how to use them to move faster without letting generated tests, generated code, or sensitive data slip through unchecked
Experience testing fintech, payments, or any system where money or state must reconcile exactly
A strong eye for UX: you notice when a flow is confusing, inconsistent, or unforgiving, and you say so with a proposed fix
Opinionated about edge cases: you'd rather raise "what happens if the payout partner times out mid-transaction" at design review than find it in production
Clear written communication — bug reports, test plans, and sign-off notes that an engineer or PM can act on without a follow-up call
Nice To Have
Software engineering experience: you've shipped production code, not just tested it
Exposure to stablecoin or crypto rails (transaction finality, wallet/custody flows)
Experience with KYB/KYC or compliance-gated onboarding flows
Performance or load testing
Has set up a QA function from scratch or been the sole QA at a startup
How You'll Work
Embedded with engineering day to day, with direct line to product on scope, acceptance criteria, and UX calls
You'll be in design reviews and PRD discussions early, not just at the end
Small team, high ownership, fast release cadence
