QA / Automation Engineer

• Requirements & Test Planning: Partner with project managers and stakeholders to analyze business requirements, functional specs, and workflows, translating them into comprehensive test scenarios and coverage plans.
• Test Design & Execution: Design, document, and maintain clear test cases, test plans, and checklists. Execute functional & regression testing across mobile, and API layers to confirm release readiness before each deployment.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects in Jira with reproducible bug reports (logs, screenshots, and clear repro steps). Collaborate closely with developers to investigate root causes and verify fixes.
• Test Automation & CI/CD: Develop and maintain automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve automation coverage, stability, and execution speed.
• Collaboration: Communicate clearly and proactively with developers and project managers throughout the release cycle to ensure smooth delivery.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, technical business analysis, or software development.
• Coding Skills: Working knowledge of Typescript.
• API Testing: Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Technical Basics: Comfortable with version control (Git) and working within CI/CD environments.
• Mindset: Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and a curious, analytical mindset that enjoys breaking things to make them better.
• Good spoken and written English is a must; Chinese language proficiency is a nice-to-have

• Financial/brokerage or fintech domain experience, with exposure to Hong Kong compliance/governance processes.
• Experience in automated testing of mobile applications with Detox/Cypres/Maestro/Appium
• Exposure to AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
• SQL for data validation/back-end verification
• Familiarity with Salesforce.
