QA Automation Engineer
Summary
Builds and maintains automated test suites (smoke, regression, integration, performance) for financial applications using Python, testing APIs, databases (SQL/PostgreSQL/Snowflake), and integrating into CI/CD pipelines like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
Our client, a global financial services firm, is looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer to build and maintain automated test suites for their financial applications.
Location: Central Singapore
Reports to: Head of Software Engineering (USA)
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain automated test suites (smoke, regression, integration, performance)
- Write test scripts in Python and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
- Test APIs, databases, and large data flows (SQL/PostgreSQL/Snowflake)
- Work with developers and analysts to define test cases and acceptance criteria
- Track test coverage and report on quality metrics
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 to 6 years in QA/Software Testing
- Strong Python skills; experience with PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, or Cypress
- Experience with Azure or AWS, plus CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)
- Strong SQL skills and API testing experience (Postman, REST Assured)
- Solid Git knowledge and understanding of core testing methodologies
- Good communication skills for working with global teams (such as developers, business analyst, stakeholders, and vendors)
- Experience in financial/quantitative systems is a plus but not required.
