About the role

We are seeking a dedicated QA (Quality Assurance) specialist to join our team in Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring that all our food products and services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As QA specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes that protect our brand reputation and ensure customer satisfaction. Your work will directly contribute to our commitment to excellence and help us maintain the trust our customers place in our products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive quality inspections and testing of food products throughout the production process to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations

• Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance procedures and documentation systems

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis on raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products

• Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions

• Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, test results and compliance documentation

• Collaborate with production, procurement and management teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements

• Conduct regular audits of facilities, equipment and processes to ensure adherence to food safety standards

• Stay current with relevant food safety regulations, industry standards and best practices

• Prepare quality assurance reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders

• Train production staff on quality control procedures and best practices

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification or certification in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Food Safety or a related field

• Proven experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage industry

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations and best practices including HACCP, ISO standards and local regulatory requirements

• Proficiency in quality testing methodologies and familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain meticulous documentation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Computer literacy and proficiency with quality management systems and data analysis tools

• Knowledge of microbiology and chemical testing procedures is highly desirable

• Certification in food safety or quality management (such as FSSC 22000 or similar) is preferred
