QA Engineer (5 Days | AWS | VB | ISO 9001 | SPC | Chemical Manufacturing)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer to join our quality team in a chemical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, maintaining quality management systems, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

This position is suitable for candidates with experience in quality assurance within manufacturing, chemical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or related industries.

Location: Tuas, Singapore

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming quality inspections and monitor supplier quality performance.
• Analyze quality trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process using Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain QA documentation in accordance with ISO standards and internal quality systems.
• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Handle customer quality-related enquiries and coordinate necessary documentation.
• Prepare and review quality documents such as COAs, reports, and quality records.
• Support customer complaint investigations and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate sample evaluation activities and analyze quality data for reporting purposes.
• Plan and participate in internal and external audits.
• Conduct risk assessments, FMEA studies, and quality-related training activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality excellence programs.
• Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities and company quality programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or other relevant science disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for Degree holders, or 5 years for Diploma holders.
• Experience in quality assurance within manufacturing environments.
• Good knowledge of quality control standards and statistical analysis methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, audits, and quality management systems is preferred.
