QA Engineer / Asst QA Engineer, 18 AL

The Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited (AIFT) aims to be a leading research center on the financial technologies and services. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our financial technology solutions. Key Accountabilities

• Own end-to-end quality assurance for data- and AI-driven analytics platforms: test planning, case design, execution, regression and release sign-off.

• Build and maintain automated API, database, UI and browser-extension tests, and keep them running in CI so regressions surface before release.

• Design verification for AI-generated outputs such as drafted content, diagnostic conclusions and recommendations: define correctness criteria and run prompt and model-version regression.

• Validate data pipelines, metric calculations and access boundaries against source systems, confirming that figures reconcile and tenant data isolation holds

• Log, reproduce and track defects to closure with clear evidence, and maintain test documentation and release records with product and development teams.

• Fulfill ad-hoc testing assignments in line with evolving business requirements

Qualification / Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant majors.

• Minimum 2 years of full-time QA experience for web platforms or data products.

• Hands-on Python scripting for automated API testing; able to read code and logs to find root causes.

• Proficient in SQL for data verification, with basic exposure to NoSQL such as MongoDB.

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication and permission models, and multi-tenant data isolation.

• Experience testing AI or LLM-powered features, such as generated-content quality and prompt regression, is preferred.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test tooling such as pytest or Playwright is a strong plus.

• Good command of English, both oral and written.

• Detail-oriented; able to judge whether results are correct, not merely whether they run.

• Candidates with insufficient experience may be recruited as Assistant QA Engineer
