QA Engineer

Open 17d

Summary

QA Engineer at Blend 360 tests an LLM-powered data analytics platform for enterprise clients, designing test plans, automating UI checks, and validating AI outputs for business sense in a web app.

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to own testing for an LLM powered data analytics platform used by enterprise clients in the consumer goods space, delivered as a modern web application. Working closely with the engineering team, you will design and execute test plans covering the platform end-to-end, build out a smoke test suite for existing functionality, and act as a release gate before new features reach clients. This is a full-time, dedicated role for the duration of the project, spanning pre-launch validation through ongoing post-go-live testing. The ideal candidate is comfortable testing both structured workflows and less deterministic, AI-generated outputs, is experienced validating UI-heavy, interactive web applications, and brings background knowledge of consumer packaged goods (CPG) data — category hierarchies, promotions, seasonality — to judge whether results make business sense, not just whether the system runs without errors.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Strategy
• Define and maintain test plans covering functional, regression, and release testing across the platform

• Translate feature requirements into test cases covering expected, boundary, and edge case scenarios

• Plan test coverage in coordination with engineering ahead of each release Smoke Testing & Release Gates

• Build and maintain a smoke test suite retroactively for existing platform functionality, and expand it as new features ship

• Own sign-off on feature release gates prior to client delivery, confirming core functionality behaves as expected

• Validate that outputs generated by the platform are directionally correct and business-sensible, not just error-free

• Validate UI rendering, interactive components, and layout behaviour across browsers and screen sizes as part of each release gate Post-Go-Live Testing & Regression

• Execute ongoing regression testing after each release to confirm existing functionality remains stable

• Maintain and evolve regression coverage for the duration of the engagement as new features are introduced

• Monitor for and reproduce issues raised after go-live, working with engineering to confirm fixes Defect Management & Reporting

• Log, prioritise, and track defects through resolution, with clear severity classification

• Produce test summaries at the end of each testing cycle, including outstanding risks and go-live readiness recommendations

• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and documentation

• 3+ years of experience in a QA or testing role, ideally on data-driven or AI-enabled products

• Experience designing and executing test plans covering functional, regression, and release testing

• Comfortable validating both deterministic system behaviour and less predictable, AI-generated outputs

• Experience building or maintaining smoke test and regression suites

• Experience testing UI-heavy, single-page web applications (e.g. React or similar frameworks), including component behaviour, rendering, and cross-browser/responsive validation

• Hands-on experience with UI test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently across a full project lifecycle

• Good communication and organisational skills, comfortable working across technical and business stakeholders Good to Have

• Background in the CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry, or familiarity with retail/consumer data such as category hierarchies, promotions, and seasonality

• Exposure to automated testing tools and frameworks beyond UI testing

• Experience testing data analytics, BI, or LLM/AI-powered products • Experience working within Agile delivery teams
