About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in Manual Testing, API Testing, SQL/Database Testing, Automation, and Web Application Testing.

The ideal candidate should have experience testing SaaS applications and working in an Agile product development environment. This role requires strong ownership of the complete QA lifecycle, from understanding requirements and creating test strategies to execution, defect management, regression testing, and production validation.

The candidate should be technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of guiding QA activities while working closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesQA & Manual Testing

• Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

• Identify functional gaps, edge cases, and potential business risks.

• Ensure product quality across different releases and environments.

SaaS & Web Testing

• Test scalable SaaS-based web applications across different workflows and user roles.

• Validate application functionality, usability, reliability, and performance from a QA perspective.

• Understand SaaS-specific requirements and identify risks related to configuration, users, and data.

API & Database Testing

• Perform REST API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.

• Validate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication, error handling, and data flow.

• Perform SQL/Database testing to validate data accuracy and backend processing.

• Write SQL queries for data validation and troubleshoot data-related defects.

Test Automation

• Identify suitable test cases for automation and contribute to building and maintaining automation suites.

• Execute automated regression tests and analyze failures.

• Work with development and QA teams to improve test coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing.

Agile & Release Testing

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Perform regression and release testing before production deployment.

• Provide QA status, risks, defects, and release-readiness updates to stakeholders.

QA Leadership & Ownership

• Take ownership of QA activities for assigned products, modules, or releases.

• Guide junior QA engineers and help improve testing practices.

• Review test cases and ensure adequate coverage of critical business workflows.

• Analyze production issues and support root-cause identification.

• Communicate quality risks clearly and ensure critical defects are properly addressed.

Must-Have Skills

• 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.

• Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.

• Experience testing SaaS applications.

• Strong API Testing knowledge.

• Good experience with SQL/Database Testing.

• Experience with Test Automation.

• Strong Web Application Testing experience.

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Strong QA leadership, ownership, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in Mobile Application Testing.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• Understanding of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) testing.

• Experience with subscription, billing, and plan-based testing.

• Experience with production validation and post-release testing.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on QA professional and strong problem solver who can independently own testing activities, identify risks early, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality releases. Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS/product environment will be highly valuable.
