WHAT YOU WILL DO

We're looking for a QA Engineer who's passionate about test automation and loves solving technical challenges across different tech stacks. At Synera, you'll work on a unique mix of web and desktop applications that connect AI, engineering tools, and complex user workflows – and you'll have the freedom with unlimited AI tokens to automate the boring stuff and focus on what matters.

You’ll join the Marketplace team, led by Andrew (VP of Software Partnerships), is formalizing in 2026 with dedicated full-time roles. You'll work alongside Hussein (add-in evangelism & learning content), Mark and Baha (add-in reviews), and Niklas and Andrey (partner onboarding & add-in development). The team's mission is to provide ready-made connections to all major engineering software for our customers.

As part of the QA team, you'll be the advocate for software quality. You'll work with developers to share testing knowledge, work together with solution engineers to solve customer problems, build automated tests for new features, or let AI build them for you, and help us scale quality as we scale our platform. This isn't about finding bugs – it's about preventing them and making our entire engineering process faster and more reliable.

👉 Your tasks will be:

🤖 Build & maintain automated test pipelines

You extend our Playwright end-to-end test suite, reduce manual regression testing time, and keep our CI/CD pipelines running smoothly. Your goal: automate the repetitive stuff so the team can ship faster with confidence. This also extends to AI-assisted development.

🤝 Collaborate closely with internal & external developers

You will be responsible for testing in- and externally developed add-ins for our software. These can include integrations into other applications like CAD or Simulation tools and you will be point of contact.

🔍 Investigate & solve complex issues

You dig into bug reports from users and support, reproduce tricky issues, and work with the team to understand root causes. You design test scenarios for both new and existing functionality across different platforms.

🚀 Ship quality with every commit

You work in a fast-paced environment where QA isn't a separate phase – it's integrated into the AI-assisted development process. You validate features, monitor pipelines, and ensure that quality is built in from day one.

🌱 Learn & share knowledge

You participate in team initiatives to explore new tools, test LLM-powered features, and experiment with innovative approaches to quality.

In 3 months:

  • You become a reliable QA team member - testing changes to complete reviews and ensuring quality is built into every add-in release.

  • You’ve set up your first AI-first pipeline for testing updates to certain existing add-ins

⚡ In 6 months:

  • You'll extend our automated end-to-end Playwright pipeline to include test cases currently done manually, integrating seamlessly into our sprint workflows.

  • You also take ownership of the marketplace add-in review pipeline - prioritizing new add-in reviews based on feedback from the Head of Marketplace, and ensuring bugs are tracked and reported back to partners in a timely manner.

  • You’ve set up AI-first pipelines for testing updates to most existing and some new add-ins.

⚡ In 12 months:

  • Your AI automation work will reduce manual testing effort from 4 hours to 10 minutes, freeing the team to focus on innovation while maintaining high quality.

  • You can trace bugs back to the changes that caused them, helping us prevent similar issues in the future.
