QA Engineer (Manual & Automation)

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our partner's team and ensure the high quality, security, and performance of our financial applications. In this role, you will combine manual testing expertise with test automation to identify defects early and optimize our testing processes.

Whether you are building on foundational experience or bringing established expertise, you will play a key role within an Agile team collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases for complex financial systems.

Comprehensive Testing: Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing tailored to project requirements.

Test Automation: Build, maintain, and expand automated test suites using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and Tosca.

API Testing: Conduct thorough backend and API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI.

Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs through resolution in collaboration with development teams (using JIRA, TestRail, etc.).

Agile Collaboration: Active participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) alongside developers, PMs, and BAs.

Domain & Security Compliance: Ensure software aligns with strict banking sector standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks.

Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous optimization of QA methodologies, automated frameworks, and continuous integration workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential

Proven experience in software testing across the full SDLC and STLC.

Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Tosca).

Proficiency in backend/API testing (Postman, SoapUI).

Experience with defect tracking and test management systems (JIRA, TestRail).

Strong understanding of testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, exploratory, regression).

Basic understanding or experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows.

Solid analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment capabilities.

Language skills: Working proficiency in English and French (minimum B1 level).

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

ISTQB certification (Foundation level or higher).

Direct experience in the Banking / Financial sector.

Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
