QA Engineer (Manual Testing)
Description
In broking, a bug is never just a bad screen. A wrong margin number, a stuck order or a P& L that doesn't match costs a trader real money and costs us their trust. As we take on order execution, every release needs someone who knows how a trade moves from the order screen to the exchange to the contract note, and who finds what's broken before our users do.
Responsibilities:
- Order flow testing: Every order type across equity and F& O, through placement, modification, partial fills, rejections and cancellations.
- Risk and margin checks: RMS validations, margin blocking, peak margin, freeze quantity, lot sizes and expiry-day behaviour.
- Positions, holdings and P& L: MTM, square-off and carry-forward, reconciled against back-office data and contract notes.
- Onboarding and funds: e-KYC, segment activation, pay-in, payout and ledger entries.
- Release sign-off: Test plans, regression suites and the go/no-go call before every release across web, Android and iOS.
- Exchange and vendor UAT: Exchange mock trading sessions, OMS vendor UAT, and checking our flows against new SEBI and exchange circulars.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years in manual QA, with hands-on testing at a stockbroker or trading platform is mandatory.
- A solid grip on how Indian markets work: order types, F& O contracts, margins, T+1 settlement and corporate actions.
- Test cases a new teammate can run without coming back to you with questions.
- Comfort with Postman for API checks and basic SQL to verify data on the backend.
- Bug reports engineers can act on straight away: clear steps, expected vs actual, logs and screenshots in Jira or similar.
- Calm under live market hours. You know which bugs can wait till 3:30 and which can't.
Bonus Points:
- You trade yourself.
- Some automation exposure (Selenium, Appium).
