We are looking for a detail-oriented Mobile QA Engineer to join an agile engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of both manual and automated testing for a native Android application. You will work closely with cross-functional developers, leveraging tools like Android Studio, Kotlin, Espresso, Selenium, and Appium to ensure top-tier product quality, seamless REST API integrations, and robust automated test suites.

Responsibilities
Native Android Testing: Conduct comprehensive manual UI/UX testing, regression suites, and automated test execution directly on native Android setups.
Test Automation: Design, build, and maintain mobile automated test suites using Kotlin, Espresso, Java, Selenium, and Appium.
API & Traffic Inspection: Validate RESTful interfaces and monitor network traffic/payloads using tools like Flipper, Proxyman, and Paw/RapidAPI.
Process Improvement & AI: Proactively explore and integrate AI-assisted tooling to optimize testing workflows, reduce execution cycles, and streamline QA processes.
Agile Collaboration: Report, track, and manage defect lifecycles via Jira, managing code repositories and test scripts within Git.
Requirements
Mobile QA Expertise: Solid commercial experience combining manual testing, UI validation, and mobile test automation.
Android Ecosystem: Hands-on proficiency with Android Studio, Kotlin, and Espresso (or closely comparable mobile testing frameworks).
Cross-Framework Automation: Practical experience with Selenium (Java) and Appium for mobile/web automation.
Backend & API Foundations: Familiarity with Java and testing RESTful APIs.
Tooling: Direct experience with Git, Jira, and proxy/debugging tools (Flipper, Proxyman, Paw/RapidAPI).
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent operational communication in both German (B2+) and English (B2+).
