Job Summary

As a QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of software applications throughout the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify defects early, validate new features, and contribute to continuous improvements in testing practices.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with both manual testing and test automation, is comfortable working in Agile teams, and has a strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
  • Design and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation frameworks.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
  • Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar API testing platforms.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness activities.
  • Ensure product quality before production deployments.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, documentation, and testing standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.

Requirements

    • 3–4 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or Quality Assurance Engineer.
    • Strong experience with manual software testing across web applications.
    • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
    • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
    • Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
    • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
    • Experience using bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
    • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing.
    • Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a remote team environment.
    • Experience testing SaaS platforms or cloud-based applications.
    • Knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
    • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.
    • ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certification.
    • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
