About the Role

Kolomolo is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join a long-term project for one of our international technology clients operating in the telecommunications and network infrastructure sector.

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions supporting complex network services and business-critical systems. You will work closely with developers, architects, product owners, and other engineering teams to define test strategies, identify potential issues, and ensure high-quality releases.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test documentation.

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.

  • Develop and maintain automated tests to improve test coverage and release efficiency.

  • Identify, investigate, document, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and reproduce issues.

  • Participate in requirements analysis and provide QA input during the design and development phases.

  • Contribute to the definition and improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

  • Validate APIs, integrations, and communication between different systems and services.

  • Support CI/CD processes and integrate automated testing into development pipelines.

  • Analyse test results and provide clear feedback to technical and business stakeholders.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Work with distributed international teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking For
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance/testing.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.

  • Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

  • Hands-on experience with test automation and willingness to develop automation further.

  • Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

  • Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and web services.

  • Experience working with SQL/databases and writing basic to intermediate SQL queries.

  • Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to investigate technical issues and communicate findings clearly.

  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
