QA Guidewire Functional Tester

Role Description

Experience Required: 6–8 years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, estimation, execution, defect management, reporting, and release readiness for Guidewire P&C initiatives.
  
• Drive testing across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, ContactManager, and core insurance workflows.
  
• Validate quote, bind, policy change, renewal, cancellation, billing, claims, documents, and customer updates.
  
• Lead REST/SOAP API and integration testing for payloads, mappings, authentication, errors, and downstream impacts.
  
• Coordinate SIT, E2E, regression, UAT support, production checkout, defect triage, and status reporting.
  
• Identify automation opportunities for functional, regression, and API coverage.
  

Required Skills

• 8+ years of QA testing experience, including test lead ownership.
  
• 5+ years of Guidewire testing, preferably PolicyCenter plus BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, or ContactManager.
  
• Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge across Personal and/or Commercial Lines.
  
• Experience in functional, integration, API, regression, E2E, UAT, and production validation testing.
  
• Experience with Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, REST/SOAP, JSON, XML, SQL, Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, and Agile.
  

Preferred Skills

• Guidewire certification.
  
• Guidewire Cloud, upgrade/migration, and implementation experience.
  
• GTF, GT API, or GT:UI experience.
  
• Selenium, REST Assured, Java, Python, Jenkins, Git, and data reconciliation.
  
• Knowledge of rating, underwriting, billing, claims, and regulatory workflows.
