Summary
Designs and automates integration and contract tests for event-driven systems, maintains Kafka test harnesses, and enforces schema compatibility in CI pipelines.
- Design and maintain integration and contract testing for event-driven, distributed systems.
- Build and enforce schema compatibility testing against a schema registry as part of a CI gate.
- Develop and maintain Kafka producer/consumer test harnesses.
- Own and evolve Docker Compose-based test environments.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and API test suites.
- Manage test data across multiple, heterogeneous data stores.
- Design and execute failure-mode and resilience testing, including idempotency, retries, and conflict resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for test gating.
Testing & Automation
- Integration and contract testing for event-driven, distributed systems.
- Automated test frameworks: xUnit/NUnit, and an API testing tool (Postman or equivalent).
- Kafka producer/consumer test harness development.
Event Streaming & Schema Management
- Schema compatibility testing against a schema registry, as part of a CI gate.
Test Environments & Data
- Docker Compose-based test environment ownership.
- Test data management across multiple, heterogeneous data stores.
Resilience & CI/CD
- Failure-mode and resilience testing (idempotency, retries, conflict resolution).
- CI/CD pipeline integration for test gating.
