Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Technician at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.

Responsibilities:

  • Test samples to ensure product quality, safety, and specification compliance

  • Audit production and packaging for accuracy in shapes, specifications, storage, packaging, labeling and coding
  • Identify and manage non-conforming products and food safety hazards, ensuring issues are investigated and recommending solutions

  • Maintain records, documentation, and retention samples

  • Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Bachelor’s degree in food related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.), is preferred

  • Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Experience in quality assurance testing is preferred

    Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

    • Crouch, kneel, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, lift/carry (up to 50 pounds), sit, stand and walk for extended periods

    • Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environment

    • Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually

    • Work 12-hour shifts

    Shift: 12pm-12am or 6pm-6am

    Schedule: Rotating Days

    Starting Pay: $21/hr
