We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Python to build and maintain automation frameworks for desktop applications. You will drive test automation, integrate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high-quality software delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks for desktop applications using Python.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites to ensure high product quality, reliability, and comprehensive test coverage.
  • Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring seamless integration of automated tests into the release process.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Analyze test execution results, investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and work with engineering teams to drive timely issue resolution.
  • Lead QA activities across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Mentor and coach QA engineers, promoting best practices in test automation, quality engineering, and software testing methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvements in automation frameworks, testing processes, and overall QA efficiency.
  • Track quality metrics, prepare test reports, and effectively communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.


Requirements

Required Skills
  • 7-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with strong expertise in test automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python for developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Proven experience in automating desktop applications across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
  • Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, software testing methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline and Git management.
  • Experience in creating and executing test strategies, test plans, and test execution reports.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and software quality assurance processes.
  • Good knowledge of operating system fundamentals, including Windows, macOS, and Linux/UNIX.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading QA initiatives and mentoring junior QA engineers.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to API automation and REST API testing.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based CI/CD environments.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and authentication protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing.
  • Experience working with virtualization or remote desktop environments.
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
