About the job

We are seeking a passionate and experienced QA Engineer to join our team in Zwolle. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for analysing our automation practices and lifting them to a new standard.

Our current QA Engineers, are already experienced on the manual testing side and very well integrated into the teams. Now they are looking for a skilled colleague who wants to take more of a leading role and aiding their growth. The upcoming projects will focus on building upon our existing testing framework, focused on improved automations. This will allow for more in depth manual testing if needed and more autonomy for our Engineering teams. Hence, a good portion of stakeholder management is involved too.

Next to that you cannot forget about the "regular" work of designing, developing, and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and working closely with development teams to improve software quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test frameworks followed by plans and test cases to ensure software quality and functionality.

• Utilize various testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

• Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

• Automate test cases using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage.

• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on software quality and performance.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met.

About you

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle.ISTQB certification or similar.

• Multiple years of experience in setting up testing frameworks for a complex software(SaaS or similar), defining testing strategy and defining test plans. Ideally from scratch.

• Experience with Cypress, Playwright are critical, unless you are an expert in similar tools.

• Experience with testing different kinds of applications: backend, frontend, mobile.

• Proven experience of mentoring other team members and spread knowledge across the team

• Strong stakeholder management skills, you need to be an active partner to our Engineering and Product teams as well as the leadership team.

• Excellent communication skills in English. Dutch would be an asset.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (PHP, Javascript) is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Already located in the Netherlands
