Company

APOLO P2P A global peer-to-peer tutoring platform focused exclusively on blockchain and cryptocurrency education. APOLO P2P is not a course marketplace and not a crypto project. It is a one-to-one educational platform connecting students with verified tutors for on-demand learning sessions.

Role Overview

APOLO P2P is seeking an experienced QA Manager to take full ownership of quality assurance across the platform. This is a senior, hands-on role suitable for someone comfortable operating in an early-stage startup environment with high responsibility, autonomy, and long-term equity upside.

This position replaces a previously occupied role and is critical to ensuring platform stability, security, and release readiness ahead of launch.

This is not an employment role. It is an equity-based collaboration under a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) during the pre-launch phase.

Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy and Governance

Ensure QA involvement from early planning through release.

Integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.

Automation and Tooling

Build and maintain automated test frameworks for critical flows.

Select and manage QA tools for test management, bug tracking, and reporting.

Collaborate with DevOps on test environments and pipelines.

Defect Management and Metrics

Own the full defect lifecycle from discovery to resolution.

Define and track QA KPIs such as defect leakage, coverage, and release quality.

Produce clear pre-release quality reports for leadership.

Risk, Compliance, and Security

Validate platform flows involving payments, identity verification, and user access.

Ensure quality and security compliance aligned with platform policies.

Enforce accessibility and global usability standards.

Collaboration and Communication

Act as the quality bridge between product, engineering, and leadership.

Communicate release readiness, risks, and blockers clearly and proactively.

Support incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Time Commitment

Part-time: approximately 15 hours per week

Expected availability during overlapping collaboration hours (4pm UTC to 7pm UTC)

Consistent participation and task tracking required

Equity-based participation under a SAFE (pre-valuation structure)

No salary during the pre-launch phase

Equity vests after a post-launch cliff, subject to continuous participation

Transitional monetary compensation may be introduced post-launch or post-funding, depending on company revenue and performance

Requirements

Proven experience as a QA Manager or Senior QA Lead

Strong understanding of modern QA practices, automation, and CI/CD

Experience testing web platforms with real-time collaboration features

High standards for security, reliability, and user experience
