Skills & Experience:

  • Analyze and review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documentation, providing clear and timely feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Design and execute end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios covering complete user journeys and critical business flows.
  • Test and validate financial and fintech workflows, including payments, deposits and withdrawals, transaction history, fees and commissions, refunds, reversals, and transaction status changes, as applicable to the product.
  • Verify the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data across application interfaces, APIs, integrations, reports, and downstream systems, where applicable.
  • Design and execute positive, negative, boundary, and exception-based test scenarios to ensure robust product behavior.
  • Validate business rules and processing logic related to financial transactions and other critical business flows.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools, such as Jira.
  • Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is considered throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Re-test resolved defects, validate bug fixes, and perform regression testing to ensure changes do not introduce new issues.
  • Contribute to test planning, effort estimation, QA strategy, and overall quality planning activities.
  • Ensure all QA deliverables are complete, accurate, and aligned with agreed project timelines and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify potential quality risks, gaps in requirements, and areas requiring additional test coverage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in manual software testing within an Agile or similar software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience testing financial, banking, payments, fintech, digital wallet, or other transaction-based applications; alternatively, strong practical knowledge of financial transaction flows.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end financial transaction lifecycles, including transaction initiation, processing, authorization, completion, failure, reversal, refund, and reconciliation scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to identifying inconsistencies and potential defects.
