Summary
Goyette Mechanical is hiring full-time, salaried QA/QC Agents for construction job sites in Northern/NW Indiana (work location Hobart, IN). Day to day, the person walks sites to verify mechanical, plumbing/HVAC work meets code and specs, records findings in Procore/spreadsheets, and reports observations to QA/QC and project managers.

Job Description Summary
- Perform walk throughs of the work being done to make sure that work is installed to a quality standard and to code/spec
- Record accurate observations into a spreadsheet or computer database (Procore).
- Communicate observations to the QA/QC Team Manager and applicable personnel so they can respond to them promptly
- Report to the site project manager to keep them advised of QA/QC activities, observations, and their completion status
- Attend and engage in QA/QC meetings and jobsite walks.
- Maintain good customer relationships and problem-solve as issues arise.
- Contribute knowledge, information, best practices, and lessons learned as part of the Construction QA/QC Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Principally field work on Construction job sites; some time spent in office or onsite job trailer for admin & logistics.
- Job requires occasional work at-heights and occasional work outside to include in inclement weather.
- Medium duty: Prolonged standing, crouching, and movement on foot across unimproved terrain throughout work site.
- On-site transportation provided, when available.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years+ experience of mechanical systems pertaining to plumbing/pipefitting and HVAC and/or applicable QA/QC or mission critical experience.
- Demonstrated success with logistical/inventory tasks.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- High attention-to-detail, documentation clarity, and accuracy are highly critical in this role.
- Experience & technical skills with clear verbal & written communication skills.
- Exceptional work ethic and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze a situation, identify problems, troubleshoot, and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to maintain and update spreadsheets and other tracking software.
- Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment through a positive and professional attitude, placing a high emphasis on collaboration and good customer service.
- Proven ability to foster a positive and productive safety culture while promoting cooperation and improved morale throughout the division
- Working knowledge of with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and any site-specific background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Mission Critical experience and/or strong familiarity.
- Previous successful Construction QA/QC experience.
- Previous Procore experience.
- Local to the Greater Hobart, Indiana area (within 60-minute drive)
