QA & QC Electrical

Summary

Oversee electrical installations by inspecting materials and workmanship against drawings and standards, document tests, and coordinate fixes before energization and handover.

  • Ensure electrical materials and installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and project quality standards.
  • Conduct and document inspections and testing, including witness inspections, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective actions, and final acceptance for street lighting (PJU), electrical panels, cables, grounding systems, conduits, and other electrical installations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, the Construction Team, and HSE to ensure all quality issues are resolved before energization, commissioning, and project handover.


  • Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical QA/QC Inspector, Electrical QA/QC Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Supervisor, or a similar role in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or utility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, including LV/MV systems, street lighting (PJU), electrical panels, power and control cables, grounding systems, conduits, cable termination, and testing & commissioning activities.
  • Familiar with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), method statements, approved drawings, technical specifications, vendor requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Experience in preparing and managing inspection records, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective actions, punch lists, and final acceptance documentation.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, layout drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, SPLN, PUIL, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Familiar with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE/K3) requirements in construction projects.
  • Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with QA/QC documentation systems is an advantage.
