QA/QC Engineer (Ready-Mix Concrete; Islandwide)

Role overview

Oversee the quality of our ready-mix concrete products by running quality systems, carrying out inspections and tests, resolving customer quality issues, and supporting product development and ISO documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the quality and technical aspects of ready-mix concrete, ensuring products meet applicable specifications

• Carry out inspections and testing in line with established procedures

• Work with department heads to put quality systems in place and make sure testing meets requirements

• Visit customer sites to investigate and resolve quality-related complaints

• Run trial mixes at batching plants to verify product quality and performance

• Keep quality records accurate, current and traceable for compliance purposes

• Find the root causes of non-conforming products and coordinate corrective and preventive actions

• Develop and improve concrete mixes through formulation and testing

• Prepare and maintain the documentation needed for ISO certification

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in construction or building materials; experience in ready-mix concrete or related products is preferred

• Working knowledge of ISO documentation processes

• Hands-on experience in concrete technology and quality control

• Holding a Class 3 driving licence is an added advantage, as the role involves site and plant visits
