QA/QC INSPECTOR

Summary

Inspects railway trackwork and civil works for compliance with specifications, performing tests and documenting quality control activities on-site in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre-installation, in-process, and final inspections of trackwork activities.
  • Conduct pre- and post-concreting inspections, including verification of trackbed, turnouts, walkways, and associated civil works.
  • Perform or witness field tests including electrical resistance tests, insulation tests, torque verification, track gauging, and dimensional checks.
  • Witness concrete quality control activities including slump tests, concrete temperature checks, cube sampling, and cube collection.
  • Inspect third rail components, fastening systems, cable troughs, conduits, pit covers, and other permanent works to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitor welding activities and witness non-destructive and destructive testing where required.
  • Verify the installation of jumper boxes and associated electrical components.
  • Inspect rectification and rework activities to ensure all non-conformances have been satisfactorily corrected prior to acceptance.
  • Ensure all measuring and testing equipment used during inspections are within valid calibration periods.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, photographs, and quality documentation for submission to the QA/QC Engineer.
  • Immediately report quality deviations, safety concerns, or workmanship issues that may affect the integrity of the works.
  • Comply with all Company policies, project quality requirements, and instructions issued by the Project Management Team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in construction industry, with previous experience in LTA Project
  • Must be detail-oriented and have certain communication skills and computer skills
  • Familiar with the different methodologies, tools and concepts of quality management
  • Understand construction methods, procedures and quality related events.
