QA & QC Mechanical

Summary

Inspects mechanical and piping installations to ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and project standards, documenting tests and resolving quality issues before handover.

  • Ensure mechanical and piping materials and installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), vendor requirements, and project quality standards.
  • Conduct and document inspections and testing, including welding/joint inspections, hydro tests, equipment alignment, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective actions, and final acceptance for piping systems, valves, pumps, fittings, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, the Construction Team, and HSE to ensure all quality issues are resolved before pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover.


  • Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical QA/QC Inspector, Piping QA/QC Inspector, Mechanical Engineer, Piping Engineer, Mechanical Supervisor, or a similar role in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or oil & gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping installation, fabrication, welding inspection, hydro-testing, equipment alignment, and quality control procedures.
  • Familiar with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), method statements, approved drawings, technical specifications, vendor requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Experience in preparing and managing inspection records, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective actions, punch lists, and final acceptance documentation.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID, isometric drawings, and piping layouts.
  • Good understanding of applicable international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Familiar with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE/K3) requirements in construction projects.
  • Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with QA/QC documentation systems is an advantage.
