QA - Quality Engineer CMM - Shift Work
Purpose of the role:
Management and Execution of Measurement Systems and Analysis.
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for Performing and Maintaining detailed records of Inspection Plans, ISIRS, and FAIRS.
Developing Measurement Policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
To be participate in product Design Reviews to promote repeatability and reliability for production.
Conduct capability studies / gage R&R as directed.
Carries out such other duties that may be reasonably requested.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Qualifications
Working Knowledge of Metrology with a background in Quality Engineering.
Experience
Able to understand and read engineering drawings.
Excellent knowledge of Quality Systems.
Ability to Maintain Detailed Quality records.
Technical
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Applied Working Knowledge and use of basic Metrology tool, Imperial and Metric.
PC literate including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills and Competencies
Understanding manufacturing processes and tolerances.
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to technical and non-technical colleagues.
Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadline under pressure.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Self-Motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload and met deadlines.
Computer Skills.
Desirable:
Experience
Experience with Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
Experience with Optical Measurement Systems.
Internal Auditor to AS9100D.
Technical
Familiarity with a wide range of material, primarily Plastics, Rubber and Metals and their method of inspection.
Experience with First Article Inspection to AS9102.
