QA Team Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Team Lead QA to lead our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products, particularly within a micro-services architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct technical interviews to recruit and assess new QA engineers, contributing to team growth and talent acquisition.
• Provide expert guidance on test strategy, test planning, automation practices, and defect analysis throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Organize and lead training sessions and workshops to enhance both technical and domain-specific skills across the QA team.
• Ensure robust knowledge transfer and comprehensive documentation for team members on automated testing frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites for various applications.
• Drive the implementation of efficient API testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of our micro-services.
• Develop and execute comprehensive integration testing plans to validate the seamless interaction between different services.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to understand requirements, define testing scope, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Participate in defining and implementing QA processes, standards, and methodologies to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage bug tracking and defect resolution processes, ensuring timely identification, reporting, and retesting of issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and ensuring quality gates are met.

Experience Needed:

• Proven experience as a QA Lead or Senior QA Engineer with leadership responsibilities.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and bug tracking systems, including TeamWork.com, Jira, Trello, Notion, Confluence, Mantis Bug Tracker, TestLink, and TestRail.
• Strong expertise in test automation, including frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Selene, TestNG, JUnit, Allure, Maven, Pytest, Poetry, Pyenv, and Pip.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems such as GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, or CSS3, etc.
• In-depth experience with API testing and load testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI, and JMeter.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and workflow management tools, including Docker, OKD Kubernetes, and RabbitMQ.
• Working knowledge of database and data management systems such as PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and MongoDB.
• Essential experience working with micro-services architecture, including designing and executing tests for distributed systems.
• Demonstrable experience in comprehensive API testing, covering various protocols and authentication methods.
• Strong background in integration testing, ensuring end-to-end functionality across multiple services.
• Experience working with PHP and React-based applications is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
