QA/Test Automation Engineer

Fortaegis is a fast-scaling, highly ambitious and cutting-edge semiconductor company. We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to validate the integrated system through manual and automated tests and ensure product quality before delivery. After hardware is prepared and software is deployed, this professional validates the full integrated system. We are looking for candidates with not only an exceptional skillset, but also an exceptional mindset, willing to go above and beyond to make our breakthrough product even better.

Responsibilities

Key contribution:

• Designs, executes, and automates tests on the systems prepared by the integrator.
• Detects regressions and ensures the final product meets quality expectations before release.
• Provides feedback to all development teams (hardware, firmware, application).

Responsibilities:

• Design test plans for application, firmware, and FPGA interactions.
• Automate tests using Python, pytest, Robot Framework, or similar.
• Run nightly/continuous test suites on actual hardware setups.
• Maintain dashboards and reports for regression testing.
• Validate releases, find bugs early, and ensure stable deliveries.
• Build automated test frameworks that interact with hardware through APIs, UART, SSH, or network interfaces.
• Provide feedback to firmware, hardware, and application teams.

Requirements

• Experience with embedded testing.
• Strong Python (including pytest or similar frameworks).
• Ability to test at multiple layers (API, functional, system-level).
• Understanding of network protocols, serial interfaces, and embedded diagnostics.
• Ability to automate hardware interactions (relay boards, remote power switches, reset lines).

Nice to have

• Python Institute Certifications (PCET / PCAT).
• Robot Framework Certification (RFCP).
