Salary: £ DOE plus extensive benefits

Contract type: Permanent

Employment type: Full time

Working hours: We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00; you can work around these to suit you!

Do you want to work for the nation’s largest online pharmacy ensuring excellence for all our patients? We’re a market leader in the pharmacy world, with 25 years’ experience, helping over 1.8 million patients in England manage their NHS prescriptions from request through to delivery. We are Great Place to Work certified as we consider colleague experience a top priority every day, and as a certified B Corp we also meet high standards of social and environmental responsibility. Our people are fundamental to our success and ensuring we achieve our vision to be a world leading, patient-centric digital healthcare provider. We are committed to continuing to develop a positive, open and honest working environment for all.

Join our QA team at an exciting point in our journey, working in Agile squads to deliver high-impact improvements across Pharmacy2U's customer-facing products and internal platforms. Using a modern tech stack including .NET Core microservices, React, Next.js, and TypeScript, you'll help ensure quality across web and mobile platforms.

As we evolve from largely manual testing, you'll have the opportunity to help shape and grow our automation capability. Working closely with engineers and product managers, you'll drive a quality-first mindset. If you enjoy scale and continuous improvement, this is a chance to work in a team making real impact.

Our tech teams keep us running 24/7 to make sure all our patients get world class service. To support that, this role may include participation in an out-of-hours rota as required by the business. We operate fair scheduling process as well as additional compensation for all on call periods.

What you’ll be doing?

· Owning quality end-to-end for stories within the squad, from refinement through to release.

· Contributing across the squad's wider work, helping the team maintain a shared standard for quality.

· Challenging acceptance criteria and identify risks early, before development begins.

· Executing manual and exploratory testing, providing clear and well-documented outcomes.

· Building and maintain automated test scenarios for the growing end-to-end test suite.

· Performing API testing using tools such as Postman.

· Working with CI/CD pipelines, ideally within Azure DevOps, to ensure automated tests are integrated into the delivery process.

· Identifying opportunities where automation will deliver the greatest value and help prioritise implementation.

· Raise, manage, and track defects through to resolution, collaborating closely with engineers to remove blockers.

· Developing an understanding of how changes progress through environments into production and where risks may arise.

· Representing quality within squad ceremonies, planning sessions, and delivery discussions.

Who are we looking for?

· Demonstrated hands-on QA experience testing web and/or mobile applications.

· Experience building and maintaining automated test suites in TypeScript, ideally using Playwright.

· Familiarity with technologies such as .NET and React would be beneficial, though not essential.

· Exposure to CI/CD tooling, such as Azure DevOps.

· Experience in, or an interest in developing skills within, performance testing using tools such as k6.

· Enthusiasm for joining a team early in its automation journey and helping to shape best practice.

· A proactive approach to owning quality across the wider squad's work, beyond individual test execution.

· Strong risk-based testing skills, with the ability to make and justify coverage decisions.

· Experience working within Agile teams and contributing to refinement, planning, and delivery activities.

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate defects, risks, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· A customer-focused mindset, with an appreciation of the impact quality products and services have on patients who rely on their medication.
