QA Tester
Key Responsibilities
Review requirements, user stories, and designs to find gaps and define acceptance criteria early.
Write and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for new features and regression suites.
Run manual, functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory tests across web and mobile.
Log, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps; verify fixes before release.
Test REST APIs with tools, such as Postman and validate data with basic SQL queries.
Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives, and give a clear go/no-go view before each release.
Report on test coverage, defect trends, and release quality to the team.
Suggest improvements to QA processes, tools, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2-3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing lifecycle (STLC) and Agile/Scrum.
Experience writing clear test cases and bug reports from requirements.
Working knowledge of one scripting language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
Experience with API testing and basic SQL.
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools, such as Jira.
Experience with Git tools.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear written and spoken English.
Willing to work in Makati.
Can start ASAP.
Nice to Have
Certification/s.
Hands-on experience with testing automation tools.
Mobile app testing on iOS and Android.
Basic security testing awareness.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
