Job Brief
A QA Tester is responsible for testing software applications to identify bugs, errors, or usability issues, ensuring the final product meets the required standards of quality, functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Check if app features (feeds, messaging, notifications, uploads, etc.) work as intended.
- Identify technical glitches or issues that could affect user experience.
- Functional testing, usability testing, security testing, and performance testing.
- Report bugs clearly to developers and track resolutions.
- Verify the app runs smoothly across devices (iOS, Android, web browsers).
- Test the app as a real user would, ensuring it’s intuitive and user-friendly.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, and app store requirements
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman).
- Knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is an advantage.
- ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
