Job Brief

A QA Tester is responsible for testing software applications to identify bugs, errors, or usability issues, ensuring the final product meets the required standards of quality, functionality, performance, and user experience.


This is a hybrid role based in Ghana

Duties:
  • Check if app features (feeds, messaging, notifications, uploads, etc.) work as intended.
  • Identify technical glitches or issues that could affect user experience.
  • Functional testing, usability testing, security testing, and performance testing.
  • Report bugs clearly to developers and track resolutions.
  • Verify the app runs smoothly across devices (iOS, Android, web browsers).
  • Test the app as a real user would, ensuring it’s intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, and app store requirements




Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman).
  • Knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is an advantage.
  • ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
