QAQC Engineer (5 Days + Alternate Half Saturday) Main Contractor

Our client is a reputable building and construction company seeking a QAQC Engineer to ensure all construction works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Conduct inspections and ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor site activities and identify quality issues, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Review material submissions, method statements, and shop drawings for quality compliance.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality records.
• Support project handover, testing, commissioning, and defect rectification.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, company quality procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience as a QAQC Engineer in building construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, quality standards, and QAQC procedures.
• Familiarity with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, material inspections, and quality documentation.
• Experience handling inspections, quality audits, and non-conformance management.
• Good understanding of BCA requirements, ISO 9001, and relevant Singapore construction standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced site environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with CONQUAS, QLASSIC, or other quality assessment systems is a plus.
