Job Description – QA/QC Engineer (Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer)
Job Summary
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction and engineering works meet specified quality standards, project requirements, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workmanship quality, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) plans and procedures
- Conduct site inspections to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Prepare and submit Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, and quality documentation
- Coordinate with consultants, project team, and subcontractors on quality-related matters
- Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Identify defects or non-conformances (NCR) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure materials delivered to site meet required standards and approvals
- Liaise with consultants for inspections and obtain necessary approvals
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, handover, and project completion
- Support internal and external quality audits
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, standards, and documentation
- Familiar with drawings, specifications, and site coordination
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
Working Hours
- 5.5 days work week
- Overtime may be required based on project needs
