Our client is an established manufacturer of sand control screens and downhole completion equipment for the global oil & gas industry. Operating since 2003 to ISO 9001 and API Spec Q1 standards, it supplies a leading oilfield service company. Its products are used across South America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Job details

• Location: Tuas (West)
• Salary: $2,200 – $2,700 per month (plus overtime)
• Working hours: Rotating shifts, with overtime on weekdays, weekends and some public holidays
• Environment: Shop floor
• Employment: Permanent, full time

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming material, in-process, NDT and final inspections according to Quality Procedures and Work Instructions
• Maintain material and component traceability (router sheets) throughout the manufacturing process
• Use only calibrated and validated measuring equipment
• Report non-conformances to the Supervisor or Lead; re-inspect reworked items before release
• Prepare and complete inspection records before shipment
• Clock in and out in the system and update router sheets correctly
• Help train new quality team members; maintain 5S in the work area

Requirements

• NITEC, 'N' or 'O' Level
• At least 1 to 2 years of inspection experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; oil & gas manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, gauges) and ISO 9001 quality control
• Knowledge of LPI / dye penetrant or other NDT is an advantage
• Good eyesight for visual inspection
• Able to read, write and speak simple English
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime, including weekends and some public holidays
