QC Inspector
Summary
Performs on-site quality control inspections for mechanical and electrical installations in a large-scale energy project, verifying compliance with technical standards and documenting non-conformances.
The QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that materials, equipment, and construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The role supports quality compliance through inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams to ensure work is completed to the required standards.
Work Location: Seatrium Admiralty Yard
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, Sat 8am-12pm
This is a contract role until 31 Mar 2028
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of mechanical and/or electrical works to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Inspect incoming materials and equipment before installation.
- Perform in-process and final inspections, testing, and verification of completed work.
- Identify quality issues, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective actions.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to support inspection activities.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in EPC, offshore, oil & gas, or industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and inspection documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
