QC Inspector
Job Description:
- Perform set-up/in-process/ outgoing inspection for production parts as per quality plans when necessary. Responsible for maintaining detailed records of inspections, test results, and any deviations from the quality standards.
- Stop production if quality problems are detected during set up or in-process production, report to production m/c setter / toolmaker to rectify quality problems. Raise PRF and ensure rejected parts are properly identified at designated area.
- Perform outgoing inspection before packing.
- Ensure there is Inspection status identification on production parts upon inspection.
- Isolation / purging of rejected parts from good parts to avoid parts mix-up.
- Perform last piece inspection after production (or) tool down and report to toolmaker for corrections/improvements
- Update Control Charts (X-bar/R-Charts) and CPK Data as per quality plans.
- Other duties assigned by the superior and management.
Requirements:
- Secondary Education or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years inspection experience, preferably in stamping industry.
- Operate measuring equipment such as Smartscope, Profile projector, Toolmakers’scope, Height Gauge, etc. Simple communication in English. Basic SPC knowledge for X-bar charts & CPK.
- Interpretation of technical drawings, basic geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, common metal stamping quality problems, interpret and apply sampling plans for visual inspection. Basic computer understanding to input datas.
