Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician I will oversee quality control on bottling lines and inspect packaging materials under the guidance of the Quality Manager and Supervisor. This role ensures all packaging materials, wine types, and quality specifications align with the production schedule and relevant industry and government standards. The technician will work independently, adhere to operational procedures, and be flexible with work hours, including occasional weekends.
Reports to: QC Manager
Classification: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Compensation: $22 - $24
Shift: Tuesday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am
Core Responsibilities:
- Follow quality assurance plans and conduct hazard analyses.
- Perform quality checks on dry goods and packaging materials.
- Audit bottling lines and improve product quality through audits (product, company, system, compliance).
- Validate product specifications and quality attributes, measure production levels and efficiencies.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and maintain records.
- Collaborate with QC and production teams to improve manufacturing and training methods.
- Analyze finished goods, equipment, and work orders.
- Identify equipment issues (e.g., calibration) and work with QC manager for resolution.
- Create production work orders and inspect dry goods.
- Enter data related to glass consumption.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
